About Paella Puppets

The art of puppets brings together many of Kate’s interests in one lovely package. The opportunity to be continually creative and stretched to try new designs and techniques, a variety of creative arts and crafts in one make, song writing, singing, performance and puppeteering.

 

Then there is working with others to encourage participation and the learning of new skills. Kate currently works with two church based puppet groups, one doing live performances and the other, with Andrea and other people online, producing original puppet songs and videos.

 

Kate also enjoys writing poetry and creating fabric based arts.

Andrea started her puppet journey by becoming a member of a church puppet team many years ago. They used to perform in church, in local schools and events. She went on to lead the team and create a new team in another church. She was involved in training other people to use puppets in schools to help children with emotional difficulties. She started to make her own puppets a few years later using a sock pattern she found online. 

 

Andrea also enjoys using her computer to create the website and develop the puppet patterns from Kate's original design drawings. 

 

Andrea designs greetings cards using her own photography and loves to make jewellery.
